Park Central West hosts "Interior Design Masters"

With 'Make Home Happen' being one of our mottos, we were delighted when we were given the opportunity to appear on the latest series of the BBC's 'Interior Design Masters'. Hosted by Alan Carr, the show features aspiring interior designers who are pitted against each other to win the ultimate prize of their very first commercial contract. The team producing the show were looking for five apartments that could be made over by the contestants and fortunately, we had just what they were looking for. All of our studio, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom rental homes in Elephant and Castle, that come either furnished or unfurnished, offer residents the opportunity to paint, decorate and personalise. We were the perfect fit for the competition!

During the course of filming, the contestants were divided into pairs with each being given an apartment to decorate to a specific brief relating to who might be a resident. And, with a nod to our pet-friendly rental offer, in two of the apartments even dogs were catered for! The teams were put through their paces to complete their design masterpieces to a tight deadline. The results were then critiqued by Michelle Ogundehin and the episode's guest judge, award-winning interior designer Jonathan Adler.

We were amazed by the results and just how creative the teams were, not only with the décor inside our apartments but also with the way in which the spaces could be transformed with the addition of a floating island or a well-placed bookshelf. Each of the entries really did look very different to the other. With available residencies lasting from 12 months to 3 years, we know the importance of being able to personalise home and we hope that our involvement in the show has certainly provided plenty of inspiration for our current and future residents.
